Fall for the Arts Tickets on Sale

The Coronado Arts Education Foundation in conjunction with the Coronado Unified School District is excited to announce the upcoming Fall for the Arts, an all-ages event showcasing the artistic talents of local students. All proceeds will benefit arts education in Coronado.

Fall for the Arts will take place on Friday, October 21st, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the campus of Coronado High School, at 650 D Avenue on the corner of 6th Street. Events include a sneak peek of the Coronado School of the Arts (CoSA) performance of Grease, CoSA instrumental music concerts and displays by CoSA’s visual-art and digital-art students, including film, gaming, animation and graphic design. Choir members from Coronado Middle School and Village Elementary School also will showcase their talents.

Community members are invited to come catch dinner and a show, enjoying food from Blue Bridge Hospitality while watching the varied performances. The meal includes pork sliders (or a vegetarian burger option) and mac and cheese with banana pudding for dessert. Additional features of the evening include a beer and wine garden offering products from Coronado Brewing, a silent auction and a raffle.

“The Coronado Arts Education Foundation is dedicated to arts education for all ages in all types of education programs in Coronado and the entire San Diego area,” Kellie Wilson, the coordinator of Fall for the Arts, says. “Fall for the Arts is a showcase of all the amazing talent we have here. It’s going to be a lot of fun and do a lot of good in the community. This event is all about creating connections in our community, because art is all about creating connections.”

Admission tickets are $10 and are available through http://fallforthearts.eventbrite.com. Dinner tickets, also available at http://fallforthearts.eventbrite.com, are $15 and should be pre-purchased; only a limited number will be available for sale at the event.
