What CoSA Teachers Did over the SummerPosted by: nancym 3 months ago
How does a CoSA teacher spend his or her summer? In lots of creative ways:
From the Musical Theatre & Drama conservatory -- Barb Wolf went to London to watch several plays (some better than others!). David McBean starred in Brooklyn The Musical. Kim Strassburger directed 8 Songs for a Mad King for San Diego’s Fringe Festival, and won “Best of the Fest.”
Betzi Roe, Dance, danced for two weeks in Santiago, Chile.
Karrie Jackson, Visual Arts, took up poetry writing.
Mike McCullock, Tech Theatre, also took up writing, for a group called “So Say We All – VAMP” and had his first piece read to an appreciative and supportive audience.
From the DigArts conservatory – Anna Woerman spent three weeks in Italy and Paris. Riana Bucceri camped all over California. Edward Kramer taught Filmmaking in the Summer Intensives.
Osvaldo Mendoza, Instrumental Music, was commissioned to write a piece for the Philharmonia Northwest. It is called Tres Retratos Mexicanos (Three Mexican Portraits) and will be played on February 25, 2018 at the Viva Americas! concert in Seattle.Share on Twitter Share on Facebook
