The CoSA Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization whose stakeholders are passionate about supporting CoSA and arts education for a diverse group of emerging artists from throughout San Diego County, the Coronado Unified School District and the community of Coronado.
Mission of the Foundation
To build awareness, raise funds and ensure the legacy of CoSA, promoting an inclusive, engaging and immersive arts education for a diverse community of students in Coronado and across San Diego County.
Goals of the Foundation
Include making the Coronado School of the Arts financially self-sufficient through an endowment and other annual fundraising activities; expanding its outreach to all qualified students in the San Diego region, including those who are disadvantaged or otherwise at-risk.
Funding Coronado School of the Arts
Funding for Coronado School of the Arts comes from many sources. The school district pays part of the cost of CoSA and the CoSA Foundation fundraises to cover the remaining costs of approximately $250,000 annually. The CoSA Foundation has raised over $3.5 million since its inception in 1997.
