Teen Talks for 6th-8th and 9th-12th Grade Groups is a series of periodic class offerings that are specific, skill-building, strength-enhancing workshops for teens and pre-teens that help students maximize their full potential.

How well do you know yourself! Take the StrengthsFinder assessment to discover your top five strengths. Bring your Strengths Report and we will discuss how you can make the most out of the way that you do life.
Teen Talks April 5: Own Your Power, Live Your Dream, With Laura Plumb and Joyce Chapman
Learn your unique mind-body type, what makes you special, why you matter and how you can grow your best qualities to shine your best self any time. Includes listening and leadership skills, journaling and/or artwork.
Teen Talks April 26: Increasing Emotional Intelligence, With Wanda Brothers, LMFT
Recent research suggests that our emotional intelligence could be more important to our success than our mental intelligence. Attend this unique workshop to learn tools that'll help you control emotions, decrease anxiety, and improve your brain-power.
Teen Talks May 17: Getting Out of Town, With Dr. Monica Whitlock
This workshop helps you get ready for what's ahead. Ask the questions you need to ask - and learn how to be your best self so that you are ready when the bumps in life come. College students will join the discussion to talk about what they wish they had know or done before leaving for college. This workshop will help you explore the future and learn now to spend the last few months of high school intentionally.
