First Time Ever at CoSA!

   In honor of CHICAGO, for the first time ever, CoSA has partnered food trucks and local proprietors to offer “dinner and a show” pairings with proceeds benefitting CoSA Foundation, which supports the arts program. All food trucks feature culinary delights from the Chicago, the Windy City:

Sat., Nov. 1, 6 PM through Intermission: Lefty’s Chicago Pizzeria (served at theatre, outdoor seating)

Sun., Nov. 2, 12:30 PM through Intermission: It’s A Dog’s World Food Truck (with outdoor seating)

Sat., Nov. 7, 6 PM through Intermission Taste of Chicago Food Truck (with outdoor seating)

Sun., Nov 8, Pre & Post Show Chicago-Style Dining at The Tavern, 1310 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA (Special Chicago menu and drinks, 10 percent of proceeds to CoSA)

Rouge your knees, roll your stockings down, and all that jazz . . . ‘cause “CHICAGO” is coming to Coronado. CoSA will perform America’s most popular musical, “CHICAGO at the Coronado Performing Arts Center at CHS. Tickets can be purchased at or at the Box Office 30 minutes before show time.

Fans of this six-time Tony award-winning musical will be “razzle-dazzled” by the talent of CoSA’s Musical Theatre & Drama students, who are staging Roxie Hart’s jazzy tale of fortune, fame, and betrayal Nov. 1, 7 PM; Nov. 2, 2 PM; Nov. 7, 7 PM; and Nov 8, 7 PM.  “Our production is based on the Tony Award winning 1996 revival which is still running on Broadway,” says director Barbara Wolf, Ph.D. “Minimal scenery, simple costumes, and a live band on-stage deliver one big musical bang after another.”

 “CHICAGO” ticket prices are $18 Adults; $14 Senior (65+); $14 Military (Active Duty/Retired); $8 Students (non-CUSD and all College); $6 CUSD Students and Staff. There is a 10 percent discount for six or more tickets purchased online. Seating is by general admission.   Joining Dr. Wolf, Shane Simmons provides musical direction and Adrian Gonzalez directs the show’s technical production aspects. CoSA students James Harbaugh created the show’s logo and Shannon Ruef designed the promotion materials.
