Kim Strassburger Wins Two Pretigious Awards

Musical Theatre & Drama teacher Kim Strassburger received two Craig Noel Awards for Excellence in Theatre, bestowed annually by professional print and online theatre critics in San Diego. The San Diego Theatre Critics Circle presented its 2016 awards on Monday, February 6. The 15th annual awards ceremony drew nearly 600 people from as far as Los Angeles. 

Strassburger and co-director Glenn Paris were awarded Outstanding Direction of a Musical for "Sunday in the Park with George," ion theatre. We all knew Strassburger is an outstanding director, as each year she directs CoSA's winter drama, which has included such stand-outs as Laramie, The Grapes of Wrath, A Piece of My Heart, and this year's Peter and the Starcatcher (playing February 23 - 26). 

But Strassburger is also an acclaimed actress, and also won Outstanding Featured Performance in a Play, Female for "The Normal Heart," ion theatre.
