Step 1: Submit Your Online Application

Complete and submit the online application for the 2027–2028 school year.
 
Google Account Required:
A free Google account is required to access and fill out the form.
 
Document Guidelines:
Photos of paper applications or audition materials are not accepted. Please submit clean digital files or standard document scans (e.g., PDF)                                                
Completeness:
Applicants are solely responsible for ensuring all requested documentation is provided. Incomplete applications will not be processed.
 

Step 2: Prepare for Your Audition, Portfolio Review, or Interview

After submitting your application, you will receive an email notification with your scheduled audition date and time.
 
Here is how to prepare:
 
1. Review the Conservatory Guidelines: 
 
2. Plan, rehearse and refine:
  • Portfolios: Curate work that best showcases your individual talent, technique, and creative range.
  • Auditions: Perform your song, monologue, or dance routine in front of family or friends. Gather constructive feedback and make adjustments.
  • Interviews: Role-play interview questions with parents, teachers, or peers to practice articulating your goals.
 
Rescheduling Courtesy:
If you cannot attend your assigned slot, please notify us via email as early as possible so we may offer the time to another applicant.
 

Step 3: Admission Decisions

 
Application Status notifications will be sent via email. Your status will be one of the following:
 
1. Coronado Residents:
 
                             a) Admitted
                             b) Not Admitted (Applicants who are not admitted may be encouraged to apply to a different conservatory).
 
2. Inter-District Transfer (IDT) Students (Residing Outside CUSD Boundaries):
 
                            a) Next Steps:
                                You will receive detailed instructions regarding the inter district transfer application process.
                                If your transfer application is approved by CUSD you will receive an offer of admission to CoSA.
                            b) Not Admitted

Step 4: Confirm Your Enrollment

When you receive an offer of admission please accept or decline your offer as soon as possible. Your notification email will specify a decision deadline. Be sure to submit your response and any required documentation by this date to secure your spot.
 
 
 

2027–2028 Academic Year Admissions

Applications for the 2027–2028 school year will open on November 2, 2026.

Important Dates:

November 4, 2026 | 5:30 PM — CoSA Showcase
Enjoy student performances and gain insight into our conservatory programs for the 2027–2028 school year.
No registration required—family and friends are welcome!

February 16, 2027 | 6:00 PM — CoSA Information Night
Tour the conservatories, meet the instructors, and learn more about our programs and application process.
No registration required—family and friends are welcome!
 
March 4th, 2027 - All Materials are due for Applications

March 13, 2027 — Audition Day
