Program Description:
The Coronado Summer Art Intensive in Dance is an exciting two-week training program for students looking to expand their dance backgrounds and learn more about what CoSA has to offer. The intensive offers young dancers and opportunity to train in a vibrant professional environment in Coronado. A fun rigorous and diverse schedule with local artists will challenge dancers and open the possibilities for a student’s future in Dance!
Teacher Bio:
Viviana Alcazar a graduate from California State Long Beach and Dance Educator since 2007. Viviana has been an active part of the Dance Community, performing with the Malashock, Trolley Dances, and the PGK Dance Project. Viviana has created original works for local dance companies and organizations featured throughout the West Coast. Viviana is the Artistic Director of Heart2art Dance Company in Coronado since 2013 where she directs competitive dance teams and leads an Arts Integrative program found at local San Diego Unified Schools. She has been a Teaching Artist with Coronado School of the Arts since 2018, and a Choreographer with TranscenDance Youth Arts Organization since 2016. Viviana has continued to expand her passion of dance, yoga and fitness as a certified Sculpt & Barre instructor. Viviana enjoys working with youth and sharing in the art the Dance.
